This modern apprenticeship course will cover topics such as tree identification, health and safety and working to establish and maintain working relationships. The industry is made up of many different types of businesses including arboriculture, forestry, harvesting, social forestry and greenwood trades.

This 3 day course is run by Ted Wilson and focuses on early-stage transformation of conifer plantations to continuous cover forestry. It is designed to provide an introduction to the theory of CCF and the practical steps involved in starting the transformation of a planted stand.
