An introductory course in which you will start to find out about the fascinating world of mosses and liverworts. Working with live specimens we will practise identifying the main groups and using a key to identify specimens to species level. We will use hand lenses and microscopes to appreciate the details of these tiny plants and get a better look at their defining features. In order to appreciate bryophytes in their natural habitat we will explore the grounds of Higham Hall and the surrounding area, so a reasonable degree of mobility is essential. Bring outdoor clothing!
