The Green Passport scheme offers a chance for young people to explore climate action through the lens of their own career aspirations. The programme is open to all FE students, sixth-form students, community organisations and university students around Morecambe Bay. It consists of a 3-day programme based around the young person's interests and career goals, where they will meet employers and organisations, and develop a project linked to a climate action they are passionate about.
The 3 days will be spread across a few weeks and will be based at both LMC and Lancaster University
There will be 3 intakes of the Green Passport across 2026 / 2027, starting in October (FE + Sixth Form), January (FE + Sixth Form), and April (HE).
Available for young people 16+ across the Morecambe Bay area who want to develop awareness of sustainability for their future career.
Fully funded, with transport costs and lunch included.

The Green Leaders programme aims to empower young people to develop their own funded climate action project in response to a local problem. The six-month programme will enable change-makers to develop leadership skills, trial new ideas and grow a network of like-minded friends.
Available for students who are aged 16+ and have completed the green passport or have experience of local environmental issues. They will meet local groups and employers and will be mentored by a Green Action Facilitator from Lancaster University to support them with their projects. £500 funding is available for each student to go towards developing their projects.
The project will run between January - June 2027
Day 1 - 29th January at Lancaster & Morecambe College
Day 2 - 26th February - Visits to local businesses and climate action groups
3 Day Residential – 19th, 20th, 21st March at Lancaster University where they will build confidence and knowledge.
Project Work - April - June will be for research and working with their mentor to develop a project.
