At the UK Youth Institute, young people explore global issues, build confidence in their ideas, and develop skills to make a real difference in their world. By connecting research with real-world challenges, we're empowering the next generation of thinkers, leaders and changemakers to unlock their potential and shape the future.
To be eligible to enter, you will need to be aged 15-18 on April 21, 2027 and be free to attend the event at University of Cumbria (Ambleside Campus) on this date.
Prior to the event, you will research an issue related to food security and write an essay to be submitted by April 2, 2027. An instruction pack and sample essay provide you with guidance for researching and writing about your chosen topic.
