LANSS were delighted to attend, sponsoring the sheep ring

LANSS were pleased to attend Borderway Agri Expo, the UK's largest autumn livestock showcase, right here on our doorstep in Cumbria.
We had sponsored the sheep ring and we were delighted to have the opportunity to meet with many members of our farming community. We were particularly pleased to see a big turnout in the young handlers classes across all the show categories.
There were also over 120 trade stands in attendance highlighting the latest in innovation, products, and technology in the sector. We chatted to businesses about their employee and skills needs and whether they can offer work experience or apprenticeships.

We were also interested to listen in to the "Land Hungry, People Hungry; Can we feed the future?" seminar chaired by Scott Donaldson of the H&H group.

We heard views from a farming perspective from Nicola Renison and Sion William and from a political perspective from MPs Robbie Moore and Daniel Zeicher, alongside facts & figures and comment from Julia Aglionby, Executive Director of the Foundation for Common Land.
