Overview

Our “Woodland Pioneers – an Introduction to coppicing” week-long course introduces you to coppicing and greenwood crafts, and to our 3-year coppicing apprenticeship scheme. This course will run from 24 – 28 August at Silverhelme Scout Camp, Silverdale, Lancashire. The course fee (which includes food, camping and evening activities) is £395-£595. We have a sliding scale so you can pay what you can afford. The minimum age for participants is 18 years of age.

Woodland Pioneers: an introduction to coppicing

This course consists of four 1-day workshops, Mon-Thurs: Treen with Twiggy, Mini Gate Hurdles with Owen Jones, Charcoal with The Coppice Co-op and Greenwood Stools with Helen Clarke. On Friday, you’ll select a morning and afternoon workshop. More details during the week.
