About the Land + Nature Skills Service (LANSS)
The purpose of LANSS is to support a skilled and inclusive workforce fit for the future of land and nature-based work in Cumbria. LANSS is an information hub and one-stop shop, providing a searchable database of courses and work based opportunities in the land and nature-based sectors in and near to Cumbria.
It is a unique partnership with the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, University of Cumbria , The Farmer Network, and Cumbria Wildlife Trust.
Our aim is to make accessing courses and opportunities in Cumbria for the rural sector easier. There is lots going on across the county but people are not always aware of the resources available. Another avenue will be working with training providers and employers to identify gaps in training provision in Cumbria.
