Safe Application of Pesticides Using Self Propelled, Mounted, Trailed Horizontal Boom Sprayers. This training and assessment programme only covers Unit 111 of the Award. Operating Mounted, Trailed and Self Propelled Hydraulic Nozzle or Rotary Atomiser Horizontal Boom Sprayers, Operating Mounted, Trailed and Self Propelled Hydraulic Nozzle or Rotary Atomiser Horizontal Boom Sprayers The assessment is held on a separate day by appointment, the same week as the training date.
This training will be delivered using a compact tractor with a mounted boom sprayer. All candidates must be a competent tractor operator to undertake this course and be able to demonstrate two years work experience using tractors or hold a City & Guilds NPTC tractor driving and related operations certificate of competence.Candidates are expected to provide their own PPE for both the training and assessments.The tractor and sprayer is provided for both the training and assessment.
