This FREE full day conference will explore what makes a successful farm business and how farmers can measure performance and implement change. 10.00am to 3.30pm Rheged, Penrith
Farm businesses are facing the biggest change to farm support payments for a generation, combined with the threat of changes to Inheritance Tax. How can farmers in Cumbria make their businesses more resilient and profitable and secure a future for the next generation?
This FREE full day conference at Rheged will explore what makes a successful farm business and how farmers can measure performance and implement change. We will also cover succession planning, including the changes to Agricultural Property Relief and explore how to approach difficult conversations within the farming family. We will finish with a session looking at what our next generation of Cumbrian farmers need and with the Westmorland Family speaking about how their suppliers are making a success of their businesses.
The conference will be chaired by farming journalist, Caz Graham, and will include a free lunch and the opportunity to network with other Cumbrian Farmers.
