Erosion is a natural process that occurs in all river systems. This course provides an introduction to the types and drivers of riverbed and bank erosion, techniques for monitoring erosion, and strategies for managing and controlling erosion in different river environments. The course is open to anyone with an interest in rivers and river restoration and does not require extensive prior knowledge of these topics.
We have designed this course as a hybrid learning experience. Course materials will be found on the online learning platform, allowing participants to work through them at their own pace over a 4-week period. Afterward, we will host an online discussion session where all attendees can join and engage in a conversation about the material.
