A comprehensive, Lantra accredited, Grey Squirrel Management Training Course for any level of experience. The course is for anyone interested in, or needing to, manage grey squirrel populations - whether you are a beginner or an experienced controller. It is being provided free of charge by the Red Squirrel Recovery Network which is a Lottery funded project. The one-day course has been developed by a partnership of the major players within the Squirrel World, and is designed to be flexible, allowing provision right across the British Isles. Course content includes: Ecology of red and grey squirrels, Reasons for controlling grey squirrels, Law & Legislations, Working Together, Health & Safety, Monitoring, and Practical methodology, with an assessment. Together we can create a collaborative approach to safe and effective grey squirrel management.
All attendees who pass this assessment will receive a certificate from Lantra after the training. Please bring outdoor clothing and lunch, refreshments will be provided.
